A partnership between the National Museum of the U.S. Air Force and civilian owners of B-25 Mitchell bombers is preparing for a special anniversary in American history. Today at 2:18pm, it will be exactly 75 years since the Doolittle Tokyo Raiders released their bombs on the Japanese homeland. It was the first and badly needed victory after months of defeat that started with the Japanese sneak attack on Pearl Harbor. The story of the Doolittle Raid goes far beyond the feat of launching B-25 land based bombers from a US Navy aircraft carrier.
