I always save pre-1983 copper pennies as I find them in my pocket change and from coin roll hunting. After 3+ years of saving these old pennies in a tin can, I decided to go through my 1,500 pre-1983 Lincoln cents and look for valuable errors, varieties, and other neat pieces.
