Surf Fishing San Onofre State Beach

Part of my San Diego Beaches Series, surf fishing San Onofre State Beach is the furthest north location we’ll be covering (at-least for this series). In this video, I make the trek down trail 4 and then trail 1 for an attempt to fishies out how to go surf fishing at San Onofre State Beach. There was a $15 parking fee for the day and each hike takes about 5 minutes to get down. It’s a pretty beach with minimal sand for the most part. I spoke with a local angler who fished the area frequently and he seemed to regularly have good success (better than I did). Catches include all the common so cal species.
