MO Interview: Bagger Champion Tyler O'Hara Goes All-in on the Future of Racing
Tyler O’Hara credits the MotoAmerica King of the Baggers series for reinventing and saving his motorcycle career. The former two-time class champion (2020, 2022), O’Hara wasn’t sure where his career was going before he got the call to try out a crazy idea that involved hurling a bagger around a racetrack as quickly as possible. It turns out Tyler was pretty good at it, and now he wants to do his part to help kids try motorcycle racing. On March 15, 2025, O’Hara is hosting the GP World Cup alongside the Mission MotoAmerica Mini Cup Qualifier. With classes for kids as young as two years old, O’Hara’s goal is twofold: To get more kids on two wheels, and two, to send the cream of the crop up to the national level. Recently, Motorcycle.com had the chance to interview O’Hara over Zoom to find out more about the GP World Cup, Tyler’s involvement, and what he hopes to achieve.
