Everyone knows that reality shows are manipulatively edited to create the most interesting narrative, but the Discovery Channel would never lie to you, right? Sadly, they have, on both their reality TV programming and in their nature "documentaries." On more than one occasion, the allegedly educational channel has aired mockumentaries about mermaids being real and prehistoric sharks coming back to life, except they didn't tell anyone they were mockumentaries.
