We organised a SURPRISE proposal on Live Radio | Capital’s Secret Fiancé

Over the past two weeks, Jordan, Chris and Sian have been helping Capital’s ‘Secret Fiancé’ to plan his dream proposal, live on air, on Capital Breakfast! After a game of Mr and Mr’s, some misleading clues involving a welly boot and dog treats, and hundreds of theories from Capital listeners, we can now reveal that our amazing ’Secret Fiancé’ is James Burns and his wonderful partner is Rebecca Bolton! James and Rebecca believe they are visiting London after winning a hotel stay. The couple stop for a coffee in Leicester Square before James sneaks out to enter the Capital studio, leaving Rebecca on her own. Sian enters the cafe, spots Rebecca, and immediately approaches her, pretending that she has been instructed to take her into the Global building as part of the competition prize she’s won. As Rebecca exits the lift outside the Capital studio, she spots her partner James, surrounded by roses, candles, and…Jordan, Chris and Sian! There was not a dry eye in the room as James gets down on one knee and asks Rebecca if she would like to spend the rest of her life with him, by becoming his wife. The couple are then surprised with a romantic weekend in Paris, thanks to the help of Trainline. James and Rebecca, we wish you the happiest future together!
