Parting is Such Sweet Sorrow

It’s That Gratitude Guy with The Monday Morning Minute Parting is Such Sweet Sorrow My younger son just graduated from college and is off to Europe for a much-deserved tour with four friends. As I was thinking about the line “parting is such sweet sorrow” and, it reminded me to be grateful for the fact that even though we say goodbye, we anticipate the time in the future when we’ll see each other again. It’s been said that in order to fully appreciate up, you must also experience down in a concept known as dialectical emotions. I so appreciate what an attitude of gratitude has done for me and can do for you. It is a constant reminder to focus on what you have. It is so easy to go down the other path and focus on what you don’t have. The next time you say goodbye to someone, it may be sad, but try instead to focus on when you will see them again and the great memories that you.ve built together.
