Lamour Branch Arraignment - June 5, 2024
Lamour Branch is angrily greeted by families of victims that authorities say he murdered in October 2023 in New Philadelphia, PA. Pennsylvania State Police escort Branch out of the court of District Magistrate Dave Plachko in Port Carbon. Branch faces a pair of first- and third-degree murder charges for the deaths of Hunter Mock and Angelito Caraballo on Oct. 8, 2023, in a wooded area outside New Philadelphia known as The Sanchez. Police say Branch shot Mock and stabbed Caraballo to death that night. Earlier in the day, Branch was essentially released from Schuylkill County Prison after a Court of Common Pleas judge threw out more serious burglary charges against him in a case involving an attempted break-in at his ex-girlfriend's house in Cressona in September 2023. Branch was found guilty of criminal mischief and was set to be released. As he walked out of the courtroom following that trial, State Police were right outside to charge him with murder in the deaths of Mock and Caraballo. He was remanded back to Schuylkill County Prison on Wednesday following his arraignment.
