Labour’s City minister Tulip Siddiq is coming under increasing pressure to answer questions about a property scandal - or even to resign. Reports emerged last week that Siddiq had been given a London flat near King’s Cross by a person with links to her aunt, former Bangladeshi prime minister Sheikh Hasina, broken by the Financial Times. The deposed Awami League party leader was ousted in August when mass protests broke out - and fled to India. She is facing an arrest warrant over her alleged involvement in crimes against humanity.
