Seven Labour MPs suspended over vote to scrap UK's child benefit cap

MPs have voted against a King’s Speech amendment which called for the two-child benefit cap to be scrapped. The Commons voted 363 to 103, majority 260, to reject the amendment tabled in the name of SNP Westminster leader Stephen Flynn. The division list showed seven Labour MPs voted in favour of the SNP-led amendment calling for the two-child benefit cap to be scrapped. They were listed as: Apsana Begum (Poplar and Limehouse), Richard Burgon (Leeds East), Ian Byrne (Liverpool West Derby), Imran Hussain (Bradford East), Rebecca Long Bailey (Salford), John McDonnell (Hayes and Harlington) and Zarah Sultana (Coventry South).
