Chancellor Rachel Reeves and Prime Minister Keir Starmer are set to meet with business leaders in the City of London today to outline pension reforms aimed at driving economic growth. Reeves is expected to make fresh announcements on planning and building projects and rules, and potentially back the expansion of Heathrow Airport’s third runway - although it could put the UK’s climate targets at risk. Starmer told reporters in the City of London today that “growth is the number one priority” as well as “wealth creation in every part of the UK” and “making sure that people are better off”.
