What will happen to the astronauts Boeing Starliner left in space?

Boeing’s Starliner has recently completed its journey and returned back to Earth, leaving behind two of its anticipated passengers. Astronauts Suni Williams and Butch Wilmore will unexpectedly remain on the International Space Station until they can be safely brought back. Shortly after the spacecraft's launch on the 5th of June 2024, issues had been spotted prior to its arrival at the space station, including various thruster failures and helium leaks. These issues prompted Boeing to conduct multiple tests, both on land and in space, trialling the safety of bringing Starliner’s crew back. Visit City A.M.
