Have you ever walked into a room and felt the weight of doubt around you? Maybe it’s the subtle glances, the unspoken questions, or even the outright challenges to your competence. As a Black woman, these moments can be especially hard. But today, I want to remind you that no matter who questions your worth or abilities, God sees you, and He has equipped you for every room you enter. Acknowledge and Empathize Sister, I know how it feels. You’ve worked hard, earned your place, and yet, the doubt from others can feel suffocating. It’s not just about proving yourself; it’s about carrying the weight of expectations, biases, and the pressure to represent more than just yourself. It’s exhausting. But I want you to know that those doubts don’t define you, and you are not alone in these moments. Explore Missteps and Misplaced Focus When we face doubters, it’s easy to focus on their opinions. We might try to overcompensate by working harder or shrinking ourselves to avoid confrontation. But neither approach serves us. Overworking can lead to burnout, and shrinking yourself denies the world your brilliance. The truth is, their doubts are not your responsibility. Your confidence comes from a higher source, not from external validation.
