Welcome to our daily encounter with the Word of God! Today, we will reflect on the powerful messages that biblical readings bring us: the First Reading from the Book of Micah (Micah 7,14-15.18-20) and the Gospel according to Saint Luke (Luke 15,1-3.11-32). These passages invite us to reflect on divine mercy and the importance of forgiveness in our lives. First Reading (Micah 7,14-15,18-20): The prophet Micah, in a moment of great distress, asks God to take care of His people. He implores the Lord to lead them as a shepherd tends his sheep, renewing the blessings that have been lost through transgressions. Micah also recognizes the immense mercy of God, who forgives iniquity and does not keep His wrath forever, but instead manifests His compassionate love. This passage reminds us of God's faithfulness, who is always willing to forgive us when we repent and return to Him. Even in times of crisis, God does not abandon His people, and His mercy is stronger than our sins. Gospel (Luke 15,1-3.11-32): Today's Gospel presents us with the famous parable of the Prodigal Son. Jesus, when asked about his coexistence with sinners, tells the story of a son who leaves his father's house, wastes his inheritance, but, finding himself in difficulties, decides to return. The father, seeing him from afar, runs to meet him and welcomes him with open arms, symbolizing God's forgiveness and mercy. This parable teaches us about the importance of repentance, forgiveness and reconciliation. The father, by welcoming his lost son, represents God, who is always ready to forgive us, regardless of our faults. The story also warns us about the attitude of the older brother, who refuses to celebrate his brother's return, teaching us that we must avoid pride and envy, and learn to welcome divine mercy. Reflection and Call to Conversion Today's readings are an invitation to reflect on how we live mercy and forgiveness. God calls us to be like the father in the parable, always ready to welcome and forgive. True conversion begins when we recognize God's love in our lives and are able to share that love with others. May these passages inspire your spiritual journey! Leave in the comments how God's mercy has transformed your life and how you have experienced forgiveness in your heart. 📖 Readings of the Day: First Reading: Micah 7:14-15:18-20 Gospel: Luke 15,1-3.11-32
